AURAFA103 - Communicate effectively in an automotive workplace (Release 1)

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to communicate in an automotive workplace. It involves communicating effectively by conveying and receiving information using verbal and non-verbal techniques and correct automotive technical terminology.

The unit applies to those working in the automotive service and repair industry.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

There are 4 assessments in the Student Assessment Booklet. Assessment One consists of 20 questions - crossword, short answers, matching, self- analysis; Assessment Two and Three are scenario based and are verbal exchanges, Assessment Four is a written exchange of information with a customer; Assessment Five is a collection of documents the student produces based on workplace scenarios.

The Learning guide has three sections with a learning activity in each section.  the activities will assist the student in learning information that will be assessed.

The Power Point Reflects the Learning Guide and the Assessments.  A Lesson Plan is currently under development.
